For what it's worth, the last permanent position I had – running European operations for The Preston Group Pty (out of Melbourne, Vic) – was the result of an interview with the CEO arranged entirely on the basis that he couldn't believe my CV and what I claimed to be able to do. Feel free to do likewise. NB I've probably left some things out.

Architectures (System & Enterprise)

MODAF compliant architecture & Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development, Capability analysis & modelling.

Business Analysis & Modelling

Data capture, analysis and requirements generation, including “as is” process mapping/”to be”/gap analysis, Object Oriented and case-tool supported re-design and numerical/dynamic modelling (with validation based retrodiction from historical data)

Analysis

OOA and other structured methodologies (e.g. SSADM, UML)

Business Case Generation

Collation of stakeholder requirements, statements of business objectives and strategy, establishment of benefits framework and assessment of qualitative and quantitative benefits realisation.

Project/Programme Management

Formal methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, OGC Gateways, MOD CADMID/CADMIT), especially for mission- or time-critical projects; focussed leadership driven by efficient communication and structured reporting – risk/issue metrics, management and mitigation. Creation and motivation of teams; responsibility for budgets/cost-control, resource allocation, and meeting project milestones; ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and project timescales; control of day-to-day operations.

Project Infrastructure

Generation of resource re-allocation requirements, job specification revisions, “message” creation and communication – workshops, one-to-one – including update strategy and progress monitoring.

Establishing and building relationships with business partners, customers and suppliers; identification of product opportunities and available technologies; generation of new product concepts; management of development process and supervising alpha, beta and final product delivery.

Sales & Marketing Administration

Design and implementation of enquiry, proposal, sales and post-sales tracking systems; management, preparation and review of proposals; bid presentation; drafting of confidentiality, agency/representative, intellectual property & license agreements.

Strategic and tactical SWOT; developing and maintaining competitive advantage through customer focused innovation in product specification, manufacturing and management; tracking and analysis of competing companies and competitive products using; product life-cycle management including pricing policy; major account liaison.

Sales

From initial contact to conclusion of major negotiations – including drafting of T&C’s, finance, schedules, definition and fulfilment of technical specifications – on high value contracts. Managing key accounts.

Market Development

Customer, industry and public relations planning and management (including Disaster Management); corporate & product positioning through press, direct mail & events; design & supervision of printed and AV market education, promotion and sales material; lead generation, exhibition planning and management.
